Our Secrets...

......"If you want to be successful you have to know the meaning of hard work, be dedicated, and care about your customers. When you genuinely love what you do it will show." Greg Antonelli - Vice President and General Manager

......My family and I would like to share some of our most treasured secrets that have helped us along the way. We are very proud of my grandfather Giovanni who came to America with one dream in his heart - to own his very own Italian Restaurant. He worked very hard and built a strong business. He then taught his son Woody how the business should be run and how the customer should be treated. Giovanni shared his "can-do" attitude with his son Woody who passed it along to his children. The grandchildren now carefully operate the family businesses under the watchful eye and guidance of Woody.

.......Some of the main things my grandfather Giovanni stressed: Use only quality ingredients, give your customer a good value, and do all you can to make everything "nice" so people leave with a full belly, and a smile on their face. Whether it's serving a meal in our restaurant, catering a wedding, managing a corporate event, or renting equipment. We do what we can to treat our customers how we would like to be treated.

Here are some other tips and words of wisdom from my grandfather:

1. Never Stop Learning: It doesn't matter how old you are the "real world" has so much to teach us -- only if we are ready and willing to take a minute and listen. You grow by learning.

2. Do What Makes You Happy: Whether it's choosing a job, a career or deciding, the choice should come from your heart. Ultimately, you are the one who has to get up every morning and enjoy what you are doing, so make sure it matters to you. Identify the ideal work for you and then get paid for doing it.

3. Be Who You Really Are: Show your true colors. It's okay if you march to the beat of a different drummer -- there are plenty of people who will enjoy the music you make. Don't be afraid to be unique or speak your mind because that's what makes you different from everyone else. Everyone's unique - that's what makes us special.

4. Never Give Up: Be Persistence - Learn how to bounce back from defeat and never, never give up. It's easy to throw in the towel when things aren't going your way. Nothing good comes without hard work. Be willing to invest the time and energy to achieve your goals whatever they are.

5. Be Honest: Talk is cheap - don't waste others time with baloney. If you say you're going to do something, do it. And do it to the best of you ability. Living your life with integrity and honesty is the only way to live. People will respect you and you'll respect yourself.

6. Don't Worry Over Little Things: Then the big thing will clobber you. If you make every decision as if its life or death, you'll be dead a lot. Don't let little problems become big obstacles.

7. Don't Get Stuck in a Rut: Value the importance of the new and improved. Always try to do better. Doing things the old way will only get you where you've already been. Don't be afraid to shake things up and try something new. If it doesn't work, try something else. No big deal. Don't be afraid of change - lead change.

8. Do Your Best All the Time: Be true to yourself and always give your best effort. If you try your best and don't reach your goal, you haven't failed. You've gained experience. Commit to Excellence

9. Live Life to the Fullest. Many times we focus on accomplishing our goals and don't take time to celebrate our achievements. Don't miss an opportunity to spend time with your family and friends -- they're an important part of your life. Take care of yourself.

10. Believe in Yourself. You have come this far, so have the courage to continue to learn and grow. If you believe in yourself, you can achieve all your goals. Adopt the I (We) can do anything attitude.

11. Don't Beat Yourself Up: Everyone makes mistakes. One of the most common reasons we don't set and achieve goals is our fear that we might make a mistake. Take some risks and operate outside your comfort zone. Don't be afraid. If you make a mistake, clean it up, forgive yourself and move on. Remember, mistakes are the way we learn!
